For some people, it seems almost impossible for them to get healed of one thing or another. There are people that have lived all their life with some disease, believing God to be healed, and yet, are still sick. But they keep chugging on along believing God.
Some of these same people however, if they were honest, couldn’t tell you whether or not God wanted them healed. Some may believe that what they got is ‘their cross to bear.’ Some believe that God gave them that sickness to teach them something. Others believe that God can heal them, they just don’t know if it is His will to heal them. Sure, the other guy down the pew, he got healed, so it was God’s will to heal him, but not them.
Let me help set you free – IT IS ALWAYS GOD’S WILL TO HEAL. It doesn’t matter who you are – God wants you healed. There is no place in the Bible where you can find Jesus say, “No. I won’t heal you. It’s not my will that you be healed.” In fact, there’s only one place where Jesus’ will to heal is even questioned.
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. – Matthew 8:2-3
Do you see that? the only time that Jesus’ will to heal was questioned and Jesus answered the man – “IT IS MY WILL.” If you look throughout the scriptures, including the New Testament – where we are supposed to live – we’re not under them Old Covenant anymore – you’ll see over and over that God is healing people. If you look specifically at the New Testament you’ll find that Jesus went about healing people. In fact, that’s exactly what Acts 10:38 says.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. – Acts 10:38
Look there what is says about what Jesus did. It says that He who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil… Jesus went about healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Sickness is from the devil. It is not from God. It is not the plan of God to teach you something, your cross to bear, or anything else remotely close to being from God. God and the devil didn’t get together to work some plan to make you sick so God could heal you. God and the devil haven’t worked together since before the devil got thrown out of heaven. Healing is always the will of God.
How much so is it the will of God? So much so that Jesus went out finding people to heal. He didn’t sit there and wait for them to come to Him. He went out and found them.
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. – John 5:6-8
Healing is always the will of God. Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. He said Himself that the only thing He did is what He saw His father in Heaven do. It is God’s will to heal you. It is Jesus’ will to heal you. Now just because it is God’s will to heal you, that doesn’t mean you’re going to automatically get healed. There are things you have to do. There’s a part that you have to play. You didn’t get automatically saved. You didn’t sit there and say, “If God wants me saved, He’ll save me. “ In the same manner, you can’t just sit there and say, “If God wants me healed, He’s going to heal me.” No! There is a part that you have to play.
Now if you’re going to church or surrounding yourself with people or reading things that say that God doesn’t want you healed, or that you can’t know if He wants you healed – you better run. Get away from those people and things. They are nothing but faith killers. You need to surround yourself with people, things, and a good Bible-believing church that will tell you the Biblical truth – that God wants you healed. You need to fill yourself up with faith on God’s Word that He wants you healed. Being in the wrong church, surrounded by the wrong people can kill you if you are fighting off a life threatening disease. Will you go to Heaven? Yes sir, if Jesus is your Lord and Savior. But you’ll go a whole lot earlier than God wants you to.
Remember, healing is always the will of God.
Stay with the Word and Spirit of God.
