Fayetteville, Tennessee

April 29, 2011 By Krist Leave a Comment

This past week the south was hit with violent tornadoes that have caused millions of dollars in damage and killed hundreds. One of the places hit by the storms was my hometown of Fayetteville, TN. It’s a small town where it seems everyone knows most of the people there. After talking to everyone I know, it seems that the only thing damaged there were empty buildings (I’m told a tornado hit there along with some strong winds during the night). Some things there have been damaged or destroyed, including some restaurants, businesses, and part of a school. But things will get repaired. However, I thought I’d share some photos from my hometown. Hope you enjoy.

What the Bible (and History) Actually Says About the Messiah

I read a comment the other day that laid out a very detailed list on what the Jewish Messiah was supposed to be and do, and then made the claim that Jesus didn’t meet those qualifications. It was well said, however, it was a little misleading. I’m not sure if it was unintentional (I’d like […]

Why the Best Argument Isn’t Always the Truth

The world has always seemingly thrived on a good debate. One person wins, another loses—one point-of-view or truth reigns supreme while another cowers in the shadows from the humiliating defeat. Though one-on-one debates have been around since time began, that doesn’t mean the debates themselves are the best of things. That definitely doesn’t mean that […]

How Early Is the New Testament, Really?

If you spend any time in comment sections of any video or article about the reliability of the Bible, you’ve probably seen claims like this: “The New Testament wasn’t written until way later,” or “Most of it wasn’t confirmed before 100 AD,” which is usually followed up by something like, “It’s all made up.” It […]

What Does Pride Look Like

Pride goes before the fall, even if you don’t know it’s pride. Many times we do things or walk in things or fall for a trap because we simply don’t know. We’re ignorant. We’ve been deceived. It happens. In fact, it happens to everyone. No one is excluded. We can all join this club. It’s […]
